Window-shopping in Milano: ‘The Best Temptations’
Strolling through Milan’s many shopping streets, each store competes for shoppers’ business and the first step in closing a sale would be to entice customers to set foot in store. Naturally, the window display has an important role to play in showcasing what the brand stands for and what they have to offer which is why shops and boutiques put so much thought and creativity into their display concepts.
The Aspesi window on Via Montenapoleone had tourists flashing away at their miniature clothing display while Roger Vivier’s broadway stage set-up was pretty entertaining. Dolce&Gabbana’s ‘messy’ bedroom look was worth remembering with heaps of shoes and accessories strewn all over the sheets and floor. Another favourite was Sergio Rossi’s fluttering display of golden butterflies which just reinforced the pretty butterfly detail on their glamorous range of blue, beige and red bags and shoes
