Walking in his father, Sergio’s footsteps, Gianvito Rossi showcases his exquisite range of shoes in his flagship store on Via Santo Spirito in Milan. His boundless creativity was nurtured under the mentorship of his talented father for over two decades and he eventually produced his first fabulous collection under his own label in 2006.
I was in Milan, scouring the city for classic court shoes that are regal, glamorous and fun, and not surprisingly, one of the few stores that had exactly what my mind’s eye imagined, was Gianvito Rossi. His spring/summer 2012 collection spans an extensive colour palette of coral, green, gold, snakeskin and everything in between. Generally, what I love most about his designs has got to be the stiletto heels that give height and sophistication to most pairs.I love the gold lurex pointy pair and strappy sandal. It has a subtle pink shimmer which adds an unusual twist without sacrificing femininity and elegance.
Gianvito also has a range of ‘carbon‘ sandals which feature stiff and almost minimalist lines. Pencil heels meet a thin strap that crosses over the toes and another that secures the ankle to show off pretty feet making the woman the centre of attention and the shoes, an extension of her beauty.
