I admit to not being much of a ‘watch’ person. Instead, I have fallen into the trap of pulling out my cellphone everytime I need to get an idea of how much time I have left until my next meeting and since it’s proven that women watch the clock more notably than men, it would make my life alot easier if I just broke the habit with one of these breath-taking beauties.
To the left of Piazza Duomo, strategicaly positioned on Corso Vittorio Emanuele since 1794, is the Rocca store which boasts multiple brands of luxury watches. I was invited there to see their collection of timeless ladies watches which includes Rolex, Omega, Chopard, TAG Heuer, Piaget and more, but it was their display of Swiss Ulysse Nardin pieces which kept my attention so much longer. I loved the gold face pixelated with diamonds as well as the very sweet mother-of-pearl face with hearts. The Limited Edition Royal Blue Tourbillon watch had the most unusual electric blue inner mechanics which shows exactly how fast the seconds fly by. On my way out, I discovered gorgeous GaGa watches that I really went gaga for. With large faces and huge numerals in quirky fonts, these watches sure have personality.
Late that night, on my way back to my hotel near the Republica metro station , I decided to take one last stroll down Via Montenapoleone. This gave me a chance to enjoy the street at its most quiet. I paused at the Toy Watch window once again. The store is tiny but their selection of trendy, candy-coloured wrist watches and ring watches will confuse anyone. My favourite had to be the ToyRing collection with each tiny face dipped in diamonds.
