It’s been a crazy, tiring Friday but at least I had a ball and I ended it with a ton of blog content in the pipeline. I had a dozen invitations to the winter 2013/14 collection presentations for amazing brands including Serapian, Furla and Fisico but since I was invited to the Fratelli Rossetti event at Palazzo Visconti, I decided to wear my new Fratelli Rossetti Lady Brera shoes and to prevent any damage to the patent leather, I kept walking to a minimal distance.
My first event of the day was the showcasing of Larusmiani’s ladieswear collection inspired by the Tsarina, Russian princesses. Rich combinations of cashmere, silk and chinchilla dyed into intense burgundy and striking peacock blue make up ponchos, jackets and coats finished with fox fur, crocodile skin and pony hair.
The accessories are some of the most elegant pieces that I have spotted. These include fur hats, pony hair waist belts and a gorgeous handbag as well as classic pointy shoes with changeable Swarovski clips.
During the research stage, designer, Alice Etro was also inspired by gold jewels from the Kremlin, a pattern which she printed onto black silk that makes up wide leg pants, a long pleated skirt and shirts. For the evening, vintage-looking gowns in turquoise velvet or black printed silk are very feminine and figure-flattering.
