I had to dress for success in Milan for my role as a fashion writer of a guide to the cities main shopping street. I revived my wardrobe and added some weight to my suitcase with two cosy coats in black and lavender, which I found in the Miss Sixty store on Montenapoleone. Long, warm and figure flattering, both my purchases were affordable and seem to be great value for money.
I also found this bling ‘Broadway‘ bag in Tosca Blu that resembled a laptop carry-case, perfect for holding my iPad2 which proved to be a God-sent on this trip. This dazzling black beauty has a chain strap and closes with a zip for extra security from pick-pocketers who might use their Italian charm to distract you. On 1 December, the Tosca Blu front window also displayed their cute and sassy Miss Leopard bag, which is a limited edition product sold in support of the fight against AIDS.
What sort of ensemble would my precious coats and bags be without the perfect shoes? I bought two pairs of ankle boots from the Musto store on Via Manzoni. A very sexy Fabi boot with a spot of gold detailing caught between the heel and the sole, was my first choice and when I could not continue to take one more step in those stilettos, I bought a second pair with a lower heel from Musto‘s own range of branded footwear, which carried me through the remainder of my intense writing week.
