Finally!! I got to wear my prized Luisa Spagnoli cocktail dress which I bought in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele to my cousin’s wedding. The hot summer colour, coral, was energising and ideal for this rouged cocktail dress which sat just above the knees. Paired with long gold earrings, a stoned clutch bag and my swarovski Casadei stilletos, the look was glamorous and elegant with just the right amount of bling for a day-time function.
Another successful family business, the brand is the legacy of Luisa Spagnoli who first began making angora garments in 1928. Her son, Mario, reignited the business after the war in 1943 and since then, it has floated down the generations to Luisa’s great-grandchildren who continue to lead the company through ever-changing fashion trends while still maintaining her original brand identity, unwavering quality and personal style
