Hot Models, Gorgeous Gowns at Montecasino’s L’Italia in Piazza
Joburg’s sunny skies were just as eager as the Tuscan-inspired Montecasino complex to host the finest in Italian Fashion at the L’Italia in Piazza Festival. Firenze’s Angela Corsani’s ultra-cool collection of culturally inspired streetwear took to the runway on striking models showing off trendy tops with African beading and complimentary chunky jewellery.
A wonderful discovery was South African-Italian designer, Lena Frezza, who has made a name for herself designing breathtaking evening gowns for the Miss Italy South Africa pageants. I absolutely loved the white, floral gown and the sexy purple gown with its flowing trail of pleated fabric which made the well-proportioned model a vision worth remembering.
If my photographs don’t do justice to these magnificent creations, go and see it for yourself until this Sunday, 19 June at 1:30pm… Entrance is FREE!! And when the fashion show comes to an end, sample the green olives, savour the nutella crepes and enjoy the coffee 😉
