Highlights from Fashion Week Friday!

After getting to bed in the early hours of Thursday, I decided to sleep in a bit later than usual before waking up to another fun-filled day of eating, shopping and people-watching during Milan Fashion Week.

I made it to La Rinascente, the elite department store, for brunch at De Santis, a sit-down panini place on the top floor where the menu offers a variety of gourmet sandwiches.

A leisurely stroll down Corso Vittorio Emanuele lead to San Babila and the Quadrilatero Dellera Moda where Fasion Week fever was at an all time high. My camera came out to capture these gorgeous creations:

A feathered jacket at Etro

And interestingly cut Etro dress which reveals the back and creates the illusion of a really teeny waistline.

I found these textured gold-heeled shoes at Casadei on the corner of Via Sant Andrea.

I stopped off at Cova Pasticceria on Via Montenapoleone for a tray of petite pastries and decaf caffe latte.

On my way out, I met this dude who pulled up at Cova riding a leather-clad Vespa with matching luggage sacks strapped to it. Immaculately dressed, he stole the show with a brilliant marketing strategy; being his own best advert. Having rode all the way from Umbria to Milan, he handed out a heart key-ring and contact card to anyone interested in his business, Bottega Conticelli, which personalises Vespas with tailored leather accessories.

My next stop was the opening of the new Giada boutique which boasts a stunning interior with water features, where the ‘Made in Italy’ range of ladies clothes, shoes and accessories are sold.
