Aah… My first post of 2012… and I have decided to pay tribute to a brand that has given me a full year of loyalty in the form of an exquisite bag: Etro.
It was love at first sight on a trip to Milan and Venice a year ago, when I bought the beautiful brown work-of-art with distinguished paisley print and colourful pop-up flowers, a pink and orange butterfly and a green and yellow lizard stitched on the side . It matches almost every item in my wardrobe and has been on my arm every day of the year including two trips to Milan, a whirlwing tour through Paris and two glorious weeks spent in Madrid and Barcelona.
I recently made a turn in the Etro store on Montenapoleone to purchase a complimentary detachable shoulder strap for my bag to discover their current collection. I fell in love with a brown tote bag similar to my own, featuring a pretty printed bouquet of orange, fuchsia and purple roses. It’s just the right size, holds a sturdy shape and the hardwearing leather makes it incredible value for money.
Their summer stock is already on display in the 3-level store. Bags in a fresh, white leather with the same subtle paisley background are on display on the ground level, along with other accessories. The spring theme is really obvious in the ‘garden party’ print of flowers, greenery and butterflies. The second floor holds both men’s and ladies clothes as well as accessories from their continuative line, while the top floor is reserved for ladies clothing only. Check out the pants worn by the male mannequin in the picture; this is another one of Etro’s items which feature their signature paisley print.
