It seems as if every finger has its ring…There’s the wedding ring, the sentimental antique ring handed down over generations, the over-stated bling ring, the friendhip ring and now, thanks to British starlet, Cheryl Cole and Fawaz Gruosi, founder and owner of De Grisogono Jewellers, the pinkie finger won’t feel left out in the cold.
The singing sensation teamed up with the Florentine Jewellery maker to create a Promise Ring, specially designed for wearing on the pinkie finger. Marking the release of Cheryl’s latest single ‘Promise This’, the word ‘Promise’ is spelled out on the cute, yet chunky pinkie ring made of rose gold and blackened silver.
The De Grisogono company, which built up a world-renowned reputation as an exceptional creator of fine diamond jewellery, was formed in 1993 by Fawaz and two of his associates. Named after his mother’s maiden name, the company’s emblem became the beautiful and rare black diamond after they created an entire collection of black diamond jewellery.
I have never worn a pinkie ring (and I can imagine that it must take some getting used to) but if anyone has to honour a solemn promise made to me and requires me wear this Promise Ring, I would not want to wear anything else…
