Autumn leaves inspire furniture by Sicis
The impressive store windows that line the streets of Brera are a constant reminder that this quaint area is the art and design district of Milan. There are restaurants galore, tempting boutiques and of course, Gelateria Amorino, my favourite spot where I savour ice cream made from organic eggs, natural ingredients and fruits of the season, but Sicis, an upmarket interior decor store is another reason why I always plot my route on foot into Brera along the same path down Via Borgonuovo into Via Fatebenefratelli.
With Milan’s climate making the inevitable transition into the winter months, Sicis has used the falling autumn leaves as inspiration for beautiful leather couches in warm reds and browns as well as cleverly-designed coffee tables.
